When you request service for a covered item, you will be charged a pre-set fee in order to initiate the service request.

With an LHG home warranty, when a covered item needs repair, simply follow these steps:

• File a claim online or call.
• After paying your set fee, we’ll put you in contact with a local contractor to schedule your appointment.
• After officially diagnosing the problem, the contractor will contact us to make sure the issue is covered by your plan.
• If everything checks out, the contractor will then repair or replace the item in question.
• Afterwards, we’ll check in with you by email or phone to make sure you’re happy with the job.

Liberty Home Guard offers 3 different plans depending on the coverage your home needs. The Total Home Guard is a combination of both our Appliance Guard and Systems Guard plan. It is our most comprehensive and most economical.

Yes, there are some limitations to what a home warranty plan can cover. Home warranties cover breakdowns that occur due to normal wear and tear. For example, if a fan in your AC unit breaks due to natural use, LHG would cover the replacement. However, if that AC was broken from human misuse or a natural event, it would not fall under our coverage.

No, it doesn’t. You can get an LHG warranty plan no matter the age of your appliances.

You can start requesting service after 30-60 days depending on the coverage you purchase. If you purchased your plan while buying your home, ask your agent about whether or not we start coverage on the day the escrow closes.

Yes, if the condition was unknown. A problem that you were not aware of, and that could not have been found by visual inspection or a simple mechanical test at the time you enrolled, is covered. Known and documented failures are not.

Yes. Coverage begins 30 days after enrollment. This is standard across the industry.

No. HVAC Guard covers ducted electric central air conditioning up to 5-ton capacity. Window air conditioners, ductless mini splits, and electric wall units are excluded.

No. HVAC Guard has no inspection requirement and no maintenance record requirement.

If you have set up automatic payments with us, we will send your new contract 30 days before the old one expires. If you are not on an automatic payment system, you can continue coverage by logging into your account or calling us toll-free at  (866) 396-5837.

Yes, you can cancel at any time. Any applicable refund will be calculated in accordance with Section J of your policy. To cancel, simply log in to your online customer portal and navigate to the Policy Details tab, where you’ll see a Cancel Coverage link. If you prefer, you can also cancel by calling us at (866) 489-2214 or emailing accounts@libertyhomeguard.com.

No, we do not have a limit, although some coverage limitations, such as cost caps, may apply.
